What is your background?
I have a B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In college, I worked on youth-centric civic engagement projects, ran a social media page called @greensborolovers and worked in the home & gift market for the company that created the “home.” T-shirts. After graduating, I moved to the mountains and worked for AFG Distribution, as a National Sales Account Manager where I managed accounts in the Midwest and West Coast. Now, I have the pleasure of working at HiViz, and I absolutely love my team and what I do.
What do you do at HiViz?
Job Title: Inside Sales and Customer Service
Start Date: June 2023
Describe your work/day-to-day: My day-to-day job duties are centered around supporting our lovely customers. When I am not helping customers, I am usually trying to make my coworkers laugh which is hard because I don’t have a sense of humor. I also moonlight as Slickies BFF, which is a role I share with Spencer. He doesn’t know we share it though; he still thinks Slickster likes him more. I haven’t built up the courage to tell him she told me I am a little cooler.
What drew you to HiViz?
The shiny lights!!!
What is your favorite HiViz memory?
Getting to drive Clifford the big red firetruck (a 1987 Pierce Arrow) on the roadski.
What is your “why” at HiViz?
First responders risk their lives every day to serve and protect our communities. It feels good to be able to play a small part in giving back to those who have chosen such an honorable life path.
Where are you from originally?
San Antonio, Texas, if you want to get technical, but I grew up in Chapel Hill, NC!
Tell us a fun fact about yourself.
My eyes are two different colors.
What is a food combination people eat frequently that you can’t get behind?
Biscuits and gravy.
Quote you live by
“You need 3 daily wins. A physical win, a mental win, and a spiritual win.”
Song you can’t stop listening to
“The Coyote and the Cowboy” by Colter Wall
Best advice you were given
“Your real power comes in your ability to say no”
Would you rather always talk like a robot or always walk like a crab?
I would rather always talk like a robot because I do that sometimes already… so it would be a pretty seamless transition.
